lpm take on Kiltwalk for Glasgow Children's Hospital Charity
£3,495 raised for Glasgow Children's Hospital Charity
On Sunday 30th April 2017, a team of nine lpm employees congregated at Glasgow Green to take part in the annual Glasgow Kiltwalk to raise funds to support the Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity (formerly Yorkhill Children’s Hospital), a charity very dear to all at lpm and our nominated charity for 2017.
The team set out with a fundraising target of £1,000 and started the day full of smiles and very agile, fresh feet.
With 22 miles under their belt and with only one more mile to go there were still plenty of smiles even if by this time, the not so agile feet were beginning to ache.
Further along the route, they were met by representatives of the Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity and their mascot Kami Bear, who was more than happy to get a cuddle and a photo with some of the lpm team.
Having walked 23 miles, over seven and a half hours, the finish line was in sight and the team completed their challenge and received their well-deserved medals and a drink at the bar.
Job well done!
Supporters just keep on giving
To date and with donations still coming in, the team have so far generated the incredible sum of £3,495, completely smashing their original £1,000 target.
Our thanks go out to all staff, family, friends, suppliers and contractors for the very kind and generous donations we received. Your support kept the team motivated throughout the day and made the walk so much easier for all involved.
The funds raised will be greatly received by the Charity and will help them continue the great work they do, for all the children across the UK, who utilise the services of the Glasgow Children’s Hospital.
Life Property Management's nominated Charity is Glasgow Children's Hospital Charity and through participation in a number of fund raising events, lpm have so far raised a total of £6,615.
